Academic Scholarships 2025

Cameron Vale Academic Scholarship 2025  

Cameron Vale can offer academic scholarships to applicants keen to enter the school at 7+ or 8+ who would ordinarily not benefit from our small class sizes and unique, tailored academic curriculum. 

Finance  

The school will offer a maximum of two academic scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026 for pupils keen to enter Years 3 or 4 in September 2025.  

The scholarship award will consist of the following:  

  • 50% fee remission  

If more than one successful candidate applies, costs can be reviewed, and bursary places may be considered. 

Application Process  

Any candidates keen to apply must meet the usual application criteria.  

  • Registration fee to be paid .
  • Indication must be made at the time of application that the child is applying for an academic scholarship.
  • The school office will request a copy of the latest school report plus copies of any additional reports.
  • The office will forward all applicants to the Head for review with all relevant paperwork.  
  • Parents of scholarship candidates will be invited to tour the school, meet the Head and ask any questions following registration.  
  • Deadline for applications is: Monday 20 January 2025 

Assessment Process  

The Head will review the applications together with the Deputy Head and Assistant Head to agree the shortlisted candidates.  

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to come to the school for an assessment morning which will comprise:  

  • CAT test – online test invigilated by the Assistant Head  
  • Taster time with the appropriate year group in class  

Selection process  

Following the assessment morning, the team will meet to review each candidate with feedback on:  

  • CAT assessment scores  
  • Feedback from teaching staff from in-class sessions  
  • Review of academic reports and any specific needs identified  

The selection team will agree the following:  

  • Candidates who meet academic criteria to be offered an academic scholarship  
  • Candidates who do not meet the academic criteria for a scholarship but whom the school would agree to offer a place to – no scholarship  
  • Candidates who do not meet both criteria will not be offered a place  

Offers will be sent out by Friday 14 February 2025 with a two-week acceptance window.  

We are looking for children with potential whom we can support as they develop over the next few years and will thrive in our school.
