Sport
An integral part of life at Cameron Vale
As a small school, there are an abundance of opportunities for your child to represent the school in sports teams throughout the year. By the time your child reaches the age of seven, they will have had the opportunity to represent the school on the sports field.
We are fortunate enough to have access to extensive sports facilities in Battersea Park with bespoke use of a hard-play area for football, hockey and netball, a large games field for cricket and rounders as well as an athletics track in the summer term. Sport is a valued part of school life, and all sport is taught by subject specialists who are all qualified with national governing bodies.
Your child will be encouraged to play with and compete against their classmates from an early age. Fixtures against other schools take place during games afternoons and are published in advance in the termly calendar. The fixture list for children in Year 3 and above is extensive and offers competitive opportunities for children of all abilities. The curriculum is enriched by after school clubs, such as dance and ballet, where children have the opportunity to gain certificates awarded by the Royal Academy of Dance.
Each term we hold inter-house competitions and complete the year with all-inclusive Sports Days.
The school’s membership of the Independent Schools’ Association extends your child's opportunity to further explore their talents through involvement in a wide variety of sporting, artistic and musical competitions with other schools from as young as the age of four.
